Milk & Cookies Bakery in West Village

 

A Few weeks ago when we shot the Summer Jewelry feature, we stopped by Milk & Cookies Bakery on Commerce Street. It is located on a beautiful block full of brownstones, on a bit of a hidden street in the West Village. They have all the classic cookie flavors that you can think of, and my favorite is the simple sugar cookie. They really capture that nostalgic homemade taste! We've tried their Chocolate Chip cookies and they are delicious too... Highly recommended!

Phillip Lim in The Independent

The Independent, UK based news publisher, just dropped a great interview of one of Aloha Rag's  favorite designers, Phillip Lim. Below is a quote by the designer himself, and we couldn't agree more about his extraordinary aesthetic...

We instantly fell in love with the adorable floral print on navy, which is not being overly girly yet maintaining a sophisticated edge. The slightly rounded waistline creates the balloon-like silhouette, and the sheer chiffon cap sleeve gives a feminine touch! This dress is a great day to night piece where you can easily alter the look by wearing flats or heels, or by the accessories you pair it with!
